Vista Shows Strong Global Sales
by Blake Robinson on March 26, 2007

Microsoft announced today that its new Vista OS debuted to strong sales figures. It claims that the much heralded OS has exceeded 20 million licenses, more than double the initial sales figures of Windows XP. These figures represent copies shipped to PC manufacturers, as well as copies of upgrades and the full packaged product sold to retailers and upgrades ordered through the Windows Vista Express Upgrade program.

The increase over XP isn’t very surprising since there is such a greater number of PC users now as compared to this time in 2002.

  • anyone who doubted even for a minute that it was not going to sell better than XP was just delusional..

going by this rate and by the boost a service pack will without a doubt produce.. it can easily get to 100 million copies in one and a half year from now..
