LG Announces Coupla’ CDMA Clams

With CTIA in full effect and John full of Captain Morgan, phones are being released and announced every few seconds it seems. The latest batch includes two new LG clamshell-style phones: the VX-8700 and LX-570. The VX-8700 is part of the “Shine” series of phones LG has been working on and includes EV-DO, a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, microSD, and all that jazz. It also has a brushed aluminum case to match your Macbook Pro perfectly.

Lastly is the LX-570, a black music phone that features touch-senstivite playback controls, EV-DO, 1.3-megapixel camera, FM radio (nice), microSD, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, and a “sleek design”. Verizon customers, look for these sometime this year.

The LX-570 is bound for Sprint, not Verizon. Sprint LGs sport the “LX” model designations (compared to “VX” for Verizon) and this looks like a direct follow-up to the LG LX-550 “Fusic” music phone that sprint released a few months ago.
