Viacom Looks To Dominate Mobile Content Market

Comedy Central is launching a 40-level mobile game called South Park 10: The Game, which is based on the first ten seasons of the hit show and will be available on a number of carriers. (The games can already be played online.)

The Kids and Family Group from MTVN and Amp’d Mobile have teamed up to bring Nickelodeon content to Amp’d Mobile and Sponge Bob will be getting his own channel next quarter.

GameTrailers.com will launch “Go Gaming” focusing entirely on wireless games and is slated for Amp’d Mobile in the beginning of Q2, but other carriers will get the service later on.

BET Networks launched the 106 & Park Mobile Fan Club that offers members free ringtones, a subscription to the 106 & Park Mobile magazine, access to exclusive content and events, and some other stuff.

Last but definitely not least is what Paramount will be offering and it’s probably the coolest service of the bunch. They will launch the first mobile movie studio site that links fans to micro-sites for upcoming movies. You can also text “Movies” to get movie-related stuff for your mobile phone.
