Well. I *was* going to do a page on JetCityOrange.com about the new Sidekick given that I have pages on the ‘kick II and ‘kick 3. But THIS!?!?

i heard that the colors are changeable. i would actually buy.

I think its awesome. I would totally buy this and it seems from what I’ve read thats its more practical than SK3. It looks kinda rubbery like its not gonna scratch as much and you can change the colors whenver. plus its cheap… so i can keep both.. my SK3 and this one.

I think its preety ugly and I’m gonna keep my sd3. There’s no way that anyone is gonna see me with a skid.

If you ask me i don’t think it’s bad if they have like a black or grey one i’d buy. and plus it took out all the crapy features out from the sk3 and kept the actually usable features besides the mp3. I just got off of the phone with danger and the tech actually confirmed it does have a camera and mp3 but no web access…..altough that kinda bothers me due to the fact the screen shot shows aim, msn, and yahoo, When all of those use the web???……she did also confirm the “around $100″ thing…..oh yeah and the colors are interchangeable and they will be available at release from t-mobile….(she made an odd comment about you can send tmobile pictures and they will convert them into themes for your phone as well????)

Theres just something about this design i just dont want. It probley doesnt have to much of quality. But the screen looks really nice and so do the keys. And It doesnt have WEB ACCESS!!! I have an sk3 but I’m actually thinking about trading it in for the skiD. it looks clean yo… they say the browser is faster than the sk3 and if its any smaller that’s just extra incentive. I mean I love my sk3 but the mothafuckas pretty bulky.

when the sk3 came out i was like OOooOo bc i was rocking an sk2…but after playing with a friend’s sk3 i was so disappointed! and thought..damn well wait for the sk4 then but sadly my sk2 passed away.
i tried the treo680 and that was a bust.
i tried the lgwhite chocolate and well that’s all fine and dandy but thank GOD that tmobile came with this. its cheap. it has what i need. i actually didn’t like the extra features of the sk3. i think the only thing i’ll probably really really miss on the skID is the camera. but eh that’s me wishing that the sk2 was so interchangable in its appearance. plus i already have my ipod and a digicam so i won’t miss it that much. the sk3 kinda reminds me of the PSP..and i must say unless PSP became a phone too then i wouldn’t want to lug around this PSP looking wanna be without it having some kind of gaming feature that the sk3 DID not have.
i think i’ll be gettin an skID…use it. abuse it. and hope that the sk4’s are even fucking better.

Uh, so I had the sk3 and I had a sk2 and I got rid of my sk3 because it kept breaking on me, and I switched over to a dash. Biiiiiig mistake, I forgot how convienent and user friendly the sidekick’s were. I don’t see the big deal about the skiD, just because it’s cheaper doesn’t mean it sucks, but then again, how can any of us know when none of us have tried it (well, some of us may have, but you get the point.) Honestly, the mp3 player and the camera sucked big time, and all of us who were waiting so patiently for that sk3 can honestly say it was just a tad bit disappointing (such as the screen not being that much better, the mp3 player sucking, the camera still blowing big and no video play) but hey, we can’t have everything. Honestly, I’d get this just because I can change out the plates on it, but the body is a bit awkward looking and I don’t quite get what’s going on with the grey designs on the screen? Quite confusing, I’d say. Overall it’s not as ugly as people keep saying, but it’s no sk3, no why? Cause it literally isn’t.

I will be there to get the skiD as soon as it comes out i think it will be cool so i dont get why you would need snything liken bluetoooth i have a $700 bluetooth and i hate it and i have a $350 iPod that holds more photos and video’s then the sidekick could ever dream of holding and it is about the texting and instast messaging not all this other crap!

I think trimming all the fat from the SK3 was a smart idea. I don’t want some CRAPPY camera or an MP3 player that I can’t even hook up to my car. Besides, having all those extra programs is probably what causes the 3 to freeze up so much. Getting rid of all that will make it run faster, and smoother.

hmm its not that bad i think its kinda cute if it had a camra i would buy it =) i like the colors better than my SK3 and every 1 is being mean cuz its cheeper some people cant aford a 300 doller phone i think its a good thing infact i might get 1 any way but i use my sidekick 3s camra alot hmm =/??? (all though i did read a blog about the “sidekick 4″ so im kinda sad that they arnt comeing out with that 1 yet owell) =p

i actually held one today, the guy at tmobile had one. there sick i think, the 3 feels like itst gonna break, and ive had two of them due to tech errors they freaked out

personally i want the phone. it has everything that i want in a phone. its afordable and with the sidekick unlimeted for 30 bucks a month you get unlimeted text pic email aim etc. its all good

I just bought the iD last night and I’m getting it shipped to my house as we speak.

Currently they only have black, white, glow-in-the-dark, and gray changeable plates.
But they’re going to come out with brighter colors soon.

I think the sidekick iD is a great idea. The sidekick with its amazing unlimited plan is popular among the Deaf and HoH population and to be charged so much for the extra features that probably wont be used(mp3/bluetooth) was probably not too popular. Although im sure sales were still great I think the skiD, despite losing the sometimes convenient camera, will be a great alternative.
I will admit while the design isn’t my favorite I think that might be because it was rushed out once they realized the manufacturers realized they had some unecesarry stuff in the sk3.
Great concept and the price is definitly alot less scary than the sk3

I just got a Sidekick ID and had a Sidekick 3 before it. I definitely like the ID better. I already had a dig cam and the 3’s was shitty to begin with. I also have an iPod so no need for the MP3 player either. Plus, you can change the faceplates and bumpers which is nice. The keyboard is much better than the 3’s also. And contrary to what some people are saying there IS internet on it. If I were you and stuck with a 3, I’d sell it on eBay, buy an ID and I bet you would even have enough to get a faceplate set and then a few bucks to spare.
Bottom line… ID is much better than the 3.

i already have an ipod…an amazing camera so i don’t need the side kick 3….this is perfect…..i love the fact that u can change the colors to…..even mix them if u want…….im gettin’ this either today or tomorrow.

Hm. I just got the SKiD yesterday ‘cuz I lost my SK3, but I was still stuck in my 1 year contract &wasn’t tryna’ pay full price for another SK3. The iD isn’t that bad, I’ll admit. Of course, after having a SK3, it mosdef doesn’t compare. Then again, I never used the camera since 1. the quality sucked 2. I have a camera &3. my other cell phone has a camera. As for the bluetooth - never used that anyway &I used my MP3 player probably only the first couple weeks after I got my SK3. Soo, in my opinion, the iD is pretty cool. It’s a lil smaller and lighter. &I don’t worry ’bout droppin’ it &shit as much as I did ’bout my SK3 since it’s more durable. Plus, I only used my SK for AIM anyway.

Other than that, for those that have the iD, has anyone been able to remove the plastic piece covering the supposed USB port? I’ve heard from a number of sources that there is a USB port yet it isn’t mentioned anywhere in the manual? I’ve attempted to remove the plastic but it’s actually pretty hard to sooo iono if these sources were wrong or what?

i love the sidekick id !!! mostly because i can afford it and not spend soo much money on a phone that will break eventually.lol my friend has an sk3 and i like it alot …….the camera isnt reliable though…..but its kool. it definatly made me fall in love with sidekicks. i think the skid is kool.. u know being able to change the colors and it just is so cute and affordable….I WANT ONE!!! i dont care wat anyone thinks about it!

Yo, I personally think the skID kix so much ass, nd all yall that have a sk3 that’s pretty kool 2 that just means we all got good taste n fones, even tho the skID has no cam or mp3 player but watever. we live n the electronic age nd I think havin more gadgets is cooler neway like havin an ipod dig cam nd fone is fuckin awesome even tho its a lil much 2 carry but yea. ne1 that disagrees with how much the skID rox yall can just blow major ass cuz I luv my ID I got it the first day it came out so thnx rock on!

I actually think it looks really nice. I could understand it takes a while to like the design, but I think it looks even better than SK3. I would totally get this.

I am definitely considering buying the skid. I have an ipod, so idc about the mp3. I have a digital camera, so idc about the camera.. phones have low quality photos anyway.

I think its better looking then the sidekick3… I like the changeable colors. Usually I am always texting and on instant messaging, so this phone would be perfect for me. I don’t need all the extra features the sidekick3 has anyway.

It should have web browsing… I watched a video on cnet and the web browsing came up as she was scrolling the menu.
