I was going to buy a xbox 360 “Elite” until..

I found out there was no HD DVD,1080i and the fact that it cost 179.99$ for a “120gb hard drive”. That is unbelivable i mean you can buy a 200Gb hard drive for a computer pricing anywhere from 100-150$. I think microsoft is getting out of hand.

I think if they added the hd-dvd on the elite I think it would cost like the PS3

I was thinking about the Xbox 360 elite yesterday and the fact that it doesn’t have a HDDVD drive.

Microsoft is completely right not to include HDDVD. They aren’t Sony where bluray is Sony’s baby. Hddvd is just a format, not Microsoft’s format. Why make it part of the Xbox if it isnt the standard…yet. whats to say that Microsoft isnt planning to release a standalone Bluray drive later on, or a combo drive if that ever becomes viable.

You never know, by holiday 2008 all 360’s may include a drive that reads hddvd and bluray
