I am an attorney, had an MDA for two years and was pretty satisfied with the device with the exception of the bulkiness. In fact, I dropped the clunky thing and broke the touchscreen. Well the insurance company replaced it with a new Wing, which I just received in the mail. It is much thinner and I like the toned down color compared to the MDA. The keyboard itself is a very very very good upgrade.

So, now I have to get this thing activated and have my info transferred from the MDA to the Wing.

Is this difficult to do or is it merely a switch of the SIM card?

ha i had an MDA and it was awesome. Though it was quite slow id have to admit. Really besides the color the Wing is no different besides the fact of it having a better camera. It is not faster. It has the same amount of ram and rom. The battery is heavier and thats it. There is no difference. oh and talk in english, not that gangsta shit. this is the internet, not the hood.

the wing is about what I expected it to be. the only problem that I have with it is that somethimes the certain internet pages don’t act right. but I don’t know if its the phone or my signal. as for tmobile customer service I love it. if you call and they can’t help you right away they give you free mins and stuff like that. I’ve had at&t (before the cingular merg) verizon nextel sprint and cingular (before the at&t merg) and tmobile has the best customer service. verizon may have the best signal but they’re twice as much. nextel and sprint is bad signal and bad service. even though I didn’t have to many complaints about at&t before cingular but once they merged I didn’t like them much.

R0cksi – you are a moron if your phones have f**ked up on you plenty of times. You are just like the turds that whine and complain when their screen breaks. If people like you don’t know how to use and take care of phones, you should stick to the little Disney phones.

LoveGadgets – you are an even bigger moron. You complain about tmo’s customer service, and call their phones “crappy s&*t.” And yet in the same post, you say you are getting the Wing next week. If that doesn’t scream “I am an idiot” I don’t know what does.
TMO’s customer service is frequently ranked higher than most others – check JD Powers. And the Dash comes out ahead in nearly every unbiased review/comparison. Sure they have had some lame phones, but which carrier hasn’t? And in an industry where products advance so rapidly, it is easy to look at any carriers phones that were released over a year ago and call them crap. Hell, ANY phone you have today will be considered crap in 5 years.

And all you morons that claim “my carrier has better coverage” need to educate yourselves. Although carriers sometimes share cell towers, they sometimes don’t. This means that carrier Z will have areas with better coverage than carrier X. And carrier X will have areas with better coverage than carrier Z. And many times they can’t do much about it because of the rejects than don’t want a tower in their community.

With TMO’s relatively recent win of the FCC auction (multi-billion dollars) they are actually in a very good position to start kicking ass and putting the hurt on the other carriers. It sure feels good to be a tmo customer. We went from 70 Nextel phones to 200 TMO phones and save about $20,000 per year. That’s 130 more phones for $20,000 less!!! We showed Sprint/Nextel our ass and haven’t looked back.

T-Mobile is Better Than Verizon. I switched. Verizon’s phone interface (almost identical on every phone) is so outdated. They need a MAJOR makeover!!!! T-Mobile has a nice selection of phones and the great ability to use a GSM UNLOCKED phone. Lets see you do that with your Verizon CDMA crap.

Well I have the phone and truth be told, it is WONDERFUL!!! In reference to the “quantity vs. quality” comment, truth be told, the phones are made by the same people, either Motorola or another company. T-Mobile pays to have their name on their phones but all company’s have phones made by the same people. So the bottom line is, one company may have more towers than the other, but T-Mobile isn’t any worst or better than others, THEY ARE ALL JUST ABOUT THE SAME!!!! Sorry, but guess what…I WORK FOR THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THE PHONES!

ive had the mda since the first day it came out…LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! my friend works for tmobile n she said the wing is a pretty cool phone, which actually came out today. i bought it, n hopefully it works just as well, if not better than the mda. so far its pretty cool.

I spoke with a rep today in columbus ohio and he advised that the wing will be out on May 23………I will have one by next week :0)
RAYNA is right though, T-mobile’s phones and Customer Service suck but 5p0ng3 is right also. We buy cell phones ultimately to make phone calls and to stay in touch with people, who wants to pay an arm and leg to talk to communicate. T-mobile is the cheapest hands-down but they do get on my darn nerves with their crappy s&*t. I hate to complain, their crap is cheap.LOL Keep in mind, “You get what you pay for”. I am sure, one day, T-mobile will p#$$ me off so bad that I will stop choosing Quanity over Quality. Just wanted to put in my 2 cents….have a good day ALL!!! :0D
