Those of you who avoid texting (I know quite a few of you) because Verizon beats you on the charges can stop shivering in fear. According to initial reports, come April 15th, Verizon customers will be able to add on a $20 plan for single lines that will give the user unlimited texts, pix messages, flix messages, and free VCAST. Those with family plans will be able to shell out $100 for an unlimited package plus 700 minutes.

Sounds a little pricey, but if you text a lot or have teenagers on your phone plan, you might as well sign up and start saving immediately. Remember! 15 cents a text message!

  • I’m assuming this means unlimited text messages period. I’ve been on a $10 plan for a couple of years now that gives unlimited text/pix/flix messages to all Verizon customers.

Free text messages could be a big boost to services like GOOGL(46645), Twitter, and eBay alerts. And hey, if they’re throwing in the free v-cast service, that’s actually a pretty good deal.

  • does this still work?

  • DOES THIS STILL WORK OR NOT?!!!! im trying to convince my parents to get it for me. because right now i only have 500 texts and i went over last time.. like alot… 700… YIKES i know.
