Add the Juke Tower digital audio player to the long list of weird Japanese gadgets. It’s a no-frills DAP, but one that’s designed for use in the shower. Its designer wanted to make it resemble a bottle of shampoo, and they sure look to have succeeded. The speaker is rated at 0.5 watts and is pointed downward so the audio bounces off the floor. Being that it’s designed for use in the shower, the Juke Tower is waterproof. BYOM—bring your own memory, though, since it comes with no built-in storage of its own. Instead it relies on USB jump drives. Dumb or stupid: you decide.

  • Depending on the price, I’d buy one. I’d love to have music in the shower for those days when a long shower hits the spot. My wife would probably appreciate some relaxing music or an audio book for a long bath too.

  • Just saw the price … if I’m doing this correctly its about $88 .. screw that.
