Things are working okay now, I think that I can receieve e-mail. The last few e-mails to my inbox at work haven’t came through yet on my handheld. My blackberry e-mail address seems to be working though, as you can see above.
Every radio ham, telephone co. and power co knows that intensive solar activity (e.g. solar flares, sun spots) can disrupt communcations that depend on certain frequencies. On April 18th there was such an occurence that knocked out GPS reception in the Northern Hemisphere. Check it out on Google. Perhaps Blackberry was afraid of starting a panic. All electrical engineers I talked to were aware of this phenomenon.
