Thank heavens, T-Mobile’s BlackBerry 8800 finally launches this Monday here in America the Beautiful. It’s being positioned as the Pearl’s sibling, with a focus of users who want to look “stylish” while being “productive.” Crazy. Truthfully, it is one of the better looking BlackBerry models and it has many of the same specs that people so seem to enjoy, like a full QWERTY keyboard, IM clients from here to next Tuesday and a decent Web browser. Sure, it’s only EDGE, but we can’t blame RIM and T-Mobile for working with that they’ve got. On the other hand, if you find yourself needed more than 10 personal or business e-mail addresses, you should probably kick it down a notch.

  • I plan on upgrading to the BlackBerry 8800 at the end of May, and I was talkin’ to a Cingular rep and he was saying that this model was exclusive to Cingular. So…does this mean I can now make an empty threat when the time comes for me to renew my contract? You know…tell them that I’m thinkin’ of going with T-mobile unless they make it worth my while… :P Anyone know if there’s a benefit to going with one company over another in terms of pricing and internet speeds? THanks!
