Wine That Loves: No More Guessing What Wine Goes With What Food

foodwine.jpg

Biggs, the bossman here, knows his wine, so he knows what wine goes with what foods. I, on the other hand, am ignorant of this magical magic. Wine That Loves should eliminate this problem by placing a label of what type of food the wine goes with right on the front. There’s five different wines in the collection, each of which goes with a different food: pasta, roasted chicken, pizaa (who eats pizza with wine?), grilled steak and grilled salmon. Olé!

The price of these wines, to say nothing of how they taste, is unknown. I say they need to make a wine that goes with blogging.

“I say they need to make a wine that goes with blogging.”

Perhaps http://www.bumwine.com/ would have something to fit that ;-)

Is your pizza question serious? If so, here’s the answer: all of Italy eats pizza with wine, and wine lovers throughout the world know there’s a wine to match every food. You probably don’t want to pair your finest $100 of wine with a pizza (or even a $30 bottle–unless it’s a really good gourmet pizza) but a $10 bottle of Chianti makes an excellent beverage on pizza night.

I’m guessing I’m not the target buyer of these wines, though I would be curious to taste them.

And just to post script my previous comment:

The right wine for a food is the wine you think tastes good with that food. I had a delicious bottle the other week that was perfect with a chocolate orange cookie. I’ve found that reds go quite well with fish, ports with steaks….
