You have to pay for incoming text messages in the US? The N73 is a very good phone, I was most impressed by the lovely screen. A major bonus of Nokia phones is also the ammount of third party apps you can get. A good one is The Filter which does a good job of creating instant playlists and changes the way you browse music on your phone.

I had this phone for about a week, then sold it. As an avid photography I thought it could replace my camera, but I was sorely disappointed with the image quality. The stereo speakers are pretty cool. Eventually the lack of WiFi made me take the switch to an E-61, and I’ve been thrilled ever since.

Um, the N73 is most definitely a smartphone. It runs Symbian s60v3, it’s application expandable and compatible with all s60v3 apps.
