Anyone wanna suggest a good site to do comparisons for smart phones? I’m torn between the Blackberry 8800 and Cingular’s 8525. Now there’s an 8830…*sigh* I currently use CIngular but my contract ends with them in a couple months. I’m leaning more towards the 8525, but i figure someone around here can point me to a great site where comparisons can be made simple.
Johnal, try phonescoop.com. But really it all comes down to preference. The 8525 is a cool phone but windows mobile software is pretty buggy. I don’t know much about Blackberries but I’m pretty sure that for email you have to have a Blackberry server at work, and have to pay/use the main BB servers. But with WinMo5 you have more options as far as software goes. They are both good phones but it comes down to what you want to use it for. Id say go with the 8525 because you have a wider variety of software and productivity tools which can come in handy in a corporate environment. excel, word, powerpoint, etc. etc.
ilya,
Thanks for your suggestions! I think I am gonna go ahead and take the plunge for the 8525. I’ve never been the type to have the latest and greatest phones because of how fast they come out with new ones…but I might take up a new hobby. :P
