Phil-
The only gripe I had with Fring was the sign-on prompt when firing up the Nokia. I utilized WiFi connections when using Fring and didn’t have any problems with it. That’s it.

Gee, I wonder if CrunchGear has any affiliation with Fring? Nice, objective blogging (not). Smells like something written by a marketing troll to me. I’m sure Fring works, but c’mon, give us some credit!

The downside is that if you are using fring using your standard data plan (not 3G / Wifi), you will get disconnected from your data voice call if an actual voice call comes through to your handset.
