When upgrading to the Elite you have to re-download all your Arcade purchases, which is fair enough because you need to transfer your account anyway. The trouble arose when Ben unplugged his Elite from the net and all his games reverted back to a demo asking him to download the full version. WTF is that Microsoft?! Like any disgruntled customer he got on the phone with customer support to get some…customer support and it just spiraled down from there. He was told that he needs to register his new system and order the data migration cable.
The amount people are shelling out for the system on top of the fact that they previously purchased a 360 plus games is preposterous. WTF makes their loyal customers go through the hassle of ordering yet another cable and DRM has festooned itself onto your games and not in a decorative manner! I’m getting fired up just writing this. Pull your freakin’ heads out, Microsoft. We’re pissed and we’re not gonna take it much longer.

From the way I see it, an elite is really for someone who does not already have a 360. It is not really an upgrade if you already have a 360. If you already have one, just stick with that one.
It seems like the elite is more for the folks who don’t own a 360 console yet.
Anyways, word is on the street after the elite is sold out, the premium edition will have the 120 gig hdd with HDMI.
The Xbox Elite is a sucker punch to all that desire a PS3 and cannot afford one. Why waste your money on a slap in the face when you can have a real system?

What you should be bitching about is the stupidity of someone “upgrading”.
The Elite was not made for upgraders, it was made as an alternative to anyone getting the PS3 due to HD size or HDMI, so requiring you to order a free cable is not that big of a deal. I am so sick of the haters making such a ruckus of anything MS does while Sony can say the PS3 is more powerful than GOD and no one says boo (except to agree).

How many people are really upgrading to the Elite? If they included the copy cable, most customers would open the box and think WTF? It would just be a waste of money. Besides, if you need it… it’s free. Is it really that big of a deal?
Elite is a nice word for it… just imagine what the wizards of marketing at microsoft will come up with next revision… super elite… or maybe something like OSX! hahahhaha

it not only has 120HDD, HDMI, and looks the best of any console created… it has a much better build, it now has a very much upgraded motherboard, a better dvd drive, and processor… which this leads to the fact that many people think the 360 elite now has a faster core. this added to the fact that Halo 3 (eventhough im not a halo fan)will soon be released, and microsoft taking the best exclusive PS had to offer, GTA 4, Playstation is DONE!!!! what does playstation have seriously???? a blu ray player… this is a gaming machine we don’t need media center so we can look at pictures of our lame vacations and parties on a widescreen. what games does ps3 have???? most of you playstation heads are playing PS2 games on your $600 console, hahaha

I just bought my first xbox 360 and it’s the elite. I’m having a great time on it even though I’m a sony fan boy. My older brother has an xbox 360 so xbox live is pretty awesome to play co op games.
The point is, I’m going to keep on having fun with my xbox 360 and then get a ps3 as well to compliment my psp. I’m glad MS upgraded their xbox to include hdmi because it connects great with my lcd monitor. The fact is, we have some choice, basically three consoles…not a big deal at all. They are all super fun systems.
