At the end of the day, this is simply another check in the box as to why you want to do business with Apple DIRECTLY vs going to a reseller - they are sort of cutting their own foot off - although that foot is ever shrinking anyhow. I would be interested to see if other stores also adopt this approach (ei: Dell, Circuit City etc.). If it makes money… why not?
