The press release doesnt say its a standalone player. It is a standalone drive the is to be used in a PC

your picture and description is misleading, this is only a 5.25″ drive for a computer and not a standalone player. So you will need a HTPC that can play BD as well as HDCP compliant video card in order to take full advantage of this drive, which adds up to more than a standalone HD DVD player.

I would expect PS3 to come out with a great “price break” this Christmas… once these hit the market… they will sell like alcohol does to drunks… I believe that is when I will get my hands on one of these ;-)

buy a ps3 and quit looking for standalones, why buy one thing when you can buy one thing with a bunch of other crap stuffed in it
