Plezo PMG 250: It’s a PMP That Thinks It’s a GameBoy

Look, someone’s taken the GameBoy micro, removed all the fun, and added a slot for SD cards. The PMG-250 portable media player from Plezo, a company I’ve never heard of either, has a 2.5-inch screen and two probably terrible speakers. It does support 8-bit and 16-bit video game emulation (NES, GameBoy and others with third-party software) so I suppose it does have a leg up on the average PMP. Its only video support—AVI—is kind of a let down, but this was never going for any sort of “best in show” award anyway. Plus, it’s Korea-only, so you’ll never miss it.

Actually, there are no 3rd party emulators. Thats the downer. The system only supports NES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Sega Genesis. If this system had 3rd party emulators it would be much more with the 180$. The price is a bit steep, and you are limited to what games you can play. Might as well opt for the GP2X considering there are a lot more games ranging from emulated to developed solely for the system. Also the GP2X runs Linux and has USB host support. Also, it plays more formats which makes it a better PMP. At the price though you might as well get a DS lite and a DS micro-sd cart.

this is the most evil song/video ever… can’t get it out of my head and it goes great with any video game too - especially 8 and 16 bit emulated ones!
