So uhhhh…. whats stopping somebody from just making their own bootable usb drive with a virus scanner on it?
When they get to about the capacity of a blu-ray then they got my interest, until then, just not enough storage space for my needs.

Waste of money waiting all that time.
Make your own – very easy !
1 Get HP Drive Key Boot Utility and install it then run it.
2 – Download ClamWin_Portable and install it obviously onto your usb drive.
3 – Run the program – it will ask you to download updates which it saves to your usb drive.
4 – Lock the drive (most have a little switch) if available.
5 – Keep in your pocket and go around fixing your friends computers or save for a rainy day when your computer gets a virus !
Note – Good idea every so often (2-4 weeks) to plug it in (unlock first) run the program to get the new virus definitions. Remove and lock again.
