Actuall if you are really a music fan and want to discover new music then the Gallo Music Group anouncement was a pretty good one. I am hoping to see more stuff like that come out from Zune.

What do you mean there was no Zune announcement yesterday? Of course there was! Are you forgetting about their exclusive Zune partnership with Gallo Music Group, which brings a South African music collection of fifty albums spanning nearly eight decades to the US? I mean, wow. That’s like, really major news, people! South African music! Lots and lots of it…

Or something…

Yeah, okay, fine. I was disappointed too. But still, there WAS an announcement yesterday. There’s more here – http://www.worldmusiccentral.org/article.php/zune_gallo_south_african_music – and, uhm, that’s pretty much it. As best I can tell, no one else cares. At all.

Dang it — I’ve been waiting to hear something all day today. And I hope the next zune looks something like that one above. I have a zune now and its great. Everyone who sees it wants to talk to me about it. It has done everything I’ve ever wanted it to do and I’d love to have a small flash one to take with me when I work out. C’mon Microsoft — you are SOOOO close to giving us what we want — you just have to do it.
