Pioneer isn’t being sheepish about their intentions to take over the home entertainment division with the announcement of four A/V receivers that deliver superb HD audio and video. The Elite receivers, VSX-90TXV, VSX-91TXH, VSX-92TXH and VSX-94TXH, will be the center of your home theater system because of the 1.3A HDMI (only 91-TXH, 92-TXH and 94-TXH) connectivity. The high-end models will seamlessly pass 1080p 24Hz picture and audio is taken care of through Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio. But wait, there’s more.
The 92TXH and 94TXH are the first receivers in the industry that feature Neural-THX Surround decoding. Huh? It means all the eardrum shattering explosions and fight scenes will be transmitted in 2-channel stereo format, and when played back through a connected device the receivers are capable of decoding that content back in to 7.1 multi-channel audio. The aforementioned receivers also boast HDMI Consumer Electronics Control technology so you can hook them up to your fancy new Project Kuro HDTV. Not to be left out in the cold. All receivers have Pioneer’s Advanced MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System) room tuning technology. Again, the 92TXH and 94TXH receivers are shown more attention with Froudja video scaler chips that guarantee full 1080p 24Hz presentation while the 91TXH features an I/P signal converter up to 480p.
The 90-TXV and 91-TXV will be available in June for $650 and $1,000, respectively. The 92TXH and 94TXH ship in August for $1,300 and $1,600, respectively.

No iLink, no DSD support through HDMI 1.3, not that there are any DVD players that support it. What the heck is it with a spec where almost everything is optional? HDMI is useless as a specification for audio.
Do i really need my receiver to do video up-converting when my TV already has this option?
Had the 90 for 2 weeks now. My Klipsch speakers never sounded better ! This is just my opinion, but I would rather have the Dolby, DTS, THX, etc logos on the face rather than the top. Other than that con, this receiver is beffy, bold, attractive, and excellent sound !!
Does anyone know what the difference is between the Pioneer vsx-92txh and the pioneer vsx-lx50???
Can anyone tell me, wheter the Pioneer VSX-92TXH Elite with the power of 240 V (Europe) operates? Can I do a converter install to used this great stuff in Europe.
