What about the no contract promo through myspace? I asked the sales rep adn they said they can’t give me that promo code.
According to various sources, the no-contract MySpace deal is being phased out. Could be just bs though. Also, remember you still sign a contract with that promo, but there is no ETF penalty if you break it. (same diff, right?)

NOT TRUE! I terminated my service with helio after a year. I got it when they first came out with the slider. They aid they would honor the Myspace agreement and now I’m debating with them over my ETF charge of $175. they said the claim on myspace is Bogus and invaled!
BEWARE! and I DID confirm with a phone agent to see if it was true. I was told it was. they probably just wanted the business since they were just starting.

I don’t think you can change it to tmo, I don’t even think it uses a sim card, but I could be wrong.
to jesse: no u cant cause helio uses the CDMA technology as with t-mobile, they use GSM

I ordered mine. I’m kind of cringing that I just dropped that kind of money on something I’ve never tried and no on in my small town has either. Service out here is pretty weak with anything other than Cellular one, but Helio’s map says I’ll be ok as long as I don’t stray too far from the highway. I’ll let you know whenever I get mine. The anticipation is killing me

Just the 75 off of the device with waived activation and 25 off the first four months. I had to put up a $100 deposit too. In one year the phone will have only costed me $90 with the $75 + $30 + $100 (from the phone bill) so I figured it wasn’t such a bad deal. Much better than tmo will give me on a sidekick upgrade with 2 year contract, plus tmo signal has been causing me much frustration. Just waiting for them to ship it. I ordered last night, how long before they ship it normally?

I got my ocean in. I’ve been mostly showing 0 or 1 bar, but it shows the 3g signal and I’m able to surf the web and text quickly. Not quite fast enough for streaming video but it’s still good. Much better than my tmo has been. Just found how to download the myspace app so it’s time to play around.

You can only use one promo code. Anthony’s code will get you $100 off and free blue tooth headset, but I think the other codes posted by myself (anonymous) are better.. they get you $75 off the phone, no $30 activation fee, $25 off your first 4 months bills, 1 month free tv service.
So with Anthony’s you’re paying $25 less up front and getting the headset. With mine you’re getting $100 less because you get $25 off your first 4 months service, so if you factor that in you’re really paying only $120 for the phone which is $75 less than Anthony.

The deposit you need to put down is in relation to how bad your credit may be. I was told $500 by one cell company and $250 by another.
Last night I ordered my Helio Heat, it’s still in processing 23 hrs later, not so bad but they better get that thang going. How long does it ususally take?
Anyway, I wanted to thank Anonymous for his Heat promo code, it took off the activation fee and took the Heat down to being 25 dollars. I’m not sure if it’ll take anything off the bill b/c I obviously haven’t gotten that yet.
