I hate the ESRB. Not personally, but the fuss they make about games. It is scientifically proven that only a minority of kids is disturbed by games, of which about 90% is mentally incorrect. When i want to buy an M (which is 16+ in my country) game (NOTE: The good ones, ie HL2, and other sorts, like CoH) I have to take one of my parents to the computer store. It's hard to even bring back an M game without bringing your parents. All in all, i like Digital distributing more. Something like steam, which delivers the game, and doesn't ask any questions. This is safe, because you can know anyone with a creditcard is at least 18, or has parental permission.

Parents are not always there buying the game with their kids and sometimes parents have multiple kids of different ages. Parents should always watch what their kids play and some program are out there to help that, see http://www.codeplex.com/gshield

We only need two ratings: E for everyone and LP for Lazy Parenting. Kids under 16 can still buy LP-rated games, but such a purchase legally forfeits his parents' reproductive rights to the government, which will sterilize them in the name of public safety.

I call that a win-win situation.
