Halo 2 vs. Halo 3

Halo 3 is almost upon us. OK, not really because September 25 is a long ways away. Some of you lucky fanboys are playing the Beta, so your thirst is somewhat quenched. Is Halo 3 that much better than Halo 2? Here’s a video comparing the multi-player game play for both versions in HD! Frag away!

while i like the h3 beta, i still think the graphics need a step up, GOW is better looking IMO

IIRC, the graphics - or at least, the actual appearance of the game, not the engine itself - took a step up between H2 beta and the full release. Honestly, I don’t know the details of how that works, but I remember being underwhelmed by the look of the beta and pleasantly surprised by the improvement in the actual game. I would expect the same to happen this time around.

It actually looks pretty good with a side by side comparison. But I agree that it could still be better..

too me it looks like it’s running on the same engine just in a higher res.
