What could be better than waking up at the crack of dawn and finding out that there is an LED-backlit laptop? A lot of things, actually, but it would be nice if the Japanese tech overlords would send us the latest VAIO. We’re all frothing over the highly rumored LED Macbook. Sony would make a killing, but they put their heads so far up their butts’ years ago that it will never happen.
Anyways, the Sony VAIO Type T 10th Anniversary laptop has everything we want/need including the aforementioned LED screen, optional 32GB SSD, and an eight-hour battery life all encased in shiny black with a weight of 2.68lbs. Other specs worth noting include an 80GB HDD, 1GB RAM, 11.1-inch panoramic screen and dual layer recording DVD drive. If you’re feeling spicy then you can opt out the HDD and DVD-R for the 32GB SSD and 160GB HDD. There’s also an optional battery you can upgrade to for 18 hour’s of whatever pleasure you choose to indulge in, but wait, there’s more.
The Type T has two USB 2.0 slots, one Firewire, Expresscard/34, SD/MMC/Memory Stick Pro/Duo, Intel 945GMS Express chipset, 802.11a/b/g, webcam, fingerprint scanner and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. Really, who wants all that?

Cool… but I prefer laptop’ing without needing binoculars to view the screen – give it a 20 inch screen and 5x the memory with a dual-quad intel processor and you have my drool for a whole day. Sure, the battery life would drop down to 20 minutes (5 minutes if rendering), but at least it will be an anniversary laptop to remember!
Hmmm… where did the chicks go Peter? Boo Hoo for You! hahahhaha

My wife has one and they are tiny, but work really well. Not like a gaming or everyday use computer but great for travel or checking e-mail and doing other things PHONES/PDAs just cant do as easy.
