I truly prefer a virus than have Norton Anti Virus in any of my laptops/desktops.

– Has the worst performance. God, is a secondary application, it can’t consume such amount of resources.

– I’ve installed recently in my work against my will (since my boss thinks like you…), and now I have bluescreen everywhere. The worst thing is that I uninstalled norton, and the bluescreen remains, also after making a System Restore. And this was the unique thing I do it that day, so I’m 100% sure that the problem was Norton. So, believe me. It’s easier to deal with a virus than with Norton.

I had used Norton for years. When they indicated that they would automatically debit my credit card if their product was purchased/updated on line, I started purchasing the product at some store. On Dec 2, the instant Norton antivirus 2008 installation was attempted, my computer crashed. I tried to restart, reboot, safe mode, F8 and eventually took it to a professional. After discovering (as suspected) that my hard drive was fried (gone, no longer functioning, not recognized, unavailable, etc), I attempted to contact Norton (through a friend’s computer). I never offically said their product caused this, just that everything worked great up to the moment the Norton product was installed. Their first email (to a friend’s computer as I no longer had one) said I would be contacted in 24 hours; 3-4 days later, they said they would contact me in 96 hours; several days later, they said i should delete the norton product, and attempt to reinstall it – if that doesn’t fix it, i could resubmit my issue in 21 days. —– I will NEVER use any Norton product again. As of Dec 25, still waiting for a solution – or at least a “real” reply. Any advice, besides alternative product?

i have such type of virus in which every folder is shown as hidden and Thumb and desktop.ini type of virus.On which antivirus it can be removed.

the nornot has been doing good comitment for me in earlier days but still tere need littil improvement,beacause it allow some viruses to communicate,
these viruses are caught by zone alarm,avg antivirus but i have best wishes for norton,beacuse its still best

NOD32 is the best. Norton sucks big time. memory hogging crap. AND it caused my friend’s comp to crash after the update!Roland DO NOT use norton . mcafee neither. go for NOD32. this is the best that i have found. light weight and great.

hey,, dnt spek such thing about norton,, this web site is fake and i hate other antivirus,, i have been using norton for years and it hasent caused any problem…. i timely update antivrus……so keep bein updated wth norton and have grt.. computing

On friday I re-installed Norton for some stupid reason and BAM, computer has about 10 BSOD’s multiple little errors w/ Videocard, Sound Card etc. I’m 99% sure this is the reason….
