		<description>It&#039;s funny you mention finally taking the plunge.  I just ordered an Airport Extreme the other night.

Make sure that you lock the AE to 5GHz if your wireless devices will work with that.  From the research I&#039;ve seen, going from 2.4GHz with all of it&#039;s cordless phone/baby monitor/microwave interference to the relatively uncluttered 5GHz band makes a HUGE difference.  I suspect that frequency jump is responsible for a large portion of why the Airport Extreme is the only router to really improve upon G technology -- even the high end Linksys/etc. only support 2.4GHz.

I have run my G router with &quot;g-only&quot; limited connections since I got it.  I plan to run the AE with 5GHz n-only settings (if possible) just to prevent any issues with legacy devices slowing things down/etc.
