Via a leaked company e-mail (i.e. who knows if it’s true) Electronista reports that Dell has slated the 15.4-inch Inspiron E1505 laptop and the Dimension E520 and XPS 410 desktops to be available with Ubuntu Linux as an OS option. No mention of costs or component options, though Electronista speculates that they’ll be Intel-based systems only based on current processors for those computer models.

The e-mail suggests the systems will be available this Thursday, May 24. So I guess we will know more sooner than later whether this is true. Whatever.
