Sanyo Wants You To Get Wet…

e1.gif…and still be able to capture all the video you want with its new Xacti E1 camcorder. The 8.3-ounce camera is completely sealed up so you can take it in the pool or pond (pond would be good for you) down to depths of up to 5 feet for as long as 30 minutes—plenty of time to capture just about any underwater activity your perverted mind heart desires.

It uses AVC/H.264 video compression (full 640×480 resolution video at 30 frames-per-second) so the file size can be up to 25 percent smaller than other MPEG-4 cameras. This means you can totally store up to a total of 10 hours of video on an 8GB SDHC memory card (yep, it takes the big ‘uns). The Xacti E1 can also record up to 2.5 hours on a standard 2GB SD card, which you can find for around $16 these days.

Other important features on the $499 E1 include the ability to capture 6-megapixel still photos, a 5X optical zoom lens and a flip-out 2.5-Inch color LCD screen. Sanyo also claims a super-fast start-up time of 1.7 seconds.
