New Technology will always be ...
*Twice as expensive as it should be.
*Half as functional as it should be.
*Missing the function that would really make it useful.
*Always ship with faulty firmware.
*Have the Bugs ironed out during it's Period of Obsoletion.
*Connect only with the piece of equipment you don't currently own.
*Have some carrot dangling accessory worth another $299.00.
*Have a new type of flash card media
*Have all new connector styles even though they are still old school USB
*Never connect when you really really need it too.
*Not make phone calls, type emails, send text messages or play music and video any better than the model you had last year.

PUTTING THE SAME PHONE OUT IN A NEW COLOR DOES NOT MAKE IT A NEW PHONE

Hmmm... you might as well expand this to mean consumer products in general (Zune, iPod, Nintendo DS, PS3 etc... ).

These guys could be interesting from a 'powering gadgets' perspective- watch them over the next 18-24months- they think they have the answer to effectively combining photovoltaics with everyday gadgetry. Should be interesting to watch... first solar device coming in 2008. Can they kill the battery? or even get gadgets off the grid? More hope than Orbo for sure!
