Nice stuff. Do you have a track listing?
While this mix sounds damn well done, and is a great advert for the product, I'd like to throw a quick reveiw of the BCD2000 by Behringer into the mix, so to speak, as it's an awesome midi-controller alternative that's cheap as chips, but still gives some physical aspect to mixing. (I think the BCD3000 may have been released now). Having played with DSS DJ for ages, (which sounds similar to the Torq mixlab), I found myself lamenting the fact that no matter how much caffeine I imbibed, there was simply no way to tweak stuff fast enough using a mouse. The alternative is to learn a whole truckload of keyboard shortcuts, which I simply couldn't be bothered doing. Then I found the BCD2000. For about $400NZ, I got a fully functioned midi controller designed specifically for the entry level mixing market. Coupled with VirtualDJ software, it's just bloody marvellous. Check it out if you're in the market for a new mixing toy, as it might just trump M-Audio's offering. (And no I don't work for Behringer - and to be fair, my experience of their product support has been extremely poor to date, meaning that you are relying on 3rd party forums for resolution of any issues you may face). Still - a very cool toy, though... :)
