Reports of Dell’s withdrawal from the LCD TV business have been greatly exaggerated. It turns out that the company plans has no plans to exit the biz, but will instead focus on reselling 37-inch or smaller TVs. That doesn’t mean that all that thought-provoking analysis I did doesn’t still apply, it just means that we should never trust the Taiwanese Economic Daily newspaper ever again, for it was the publication that “broke” the “story.”
