Palm Treo lovers are in for a treat with details emerging about the 800w. Sprint subscribers will be seeing the latest Treo this Q4 and it kicks the 700wx out of the water. So what makes the 800w so special? It surely isn’t WinMo 6 because that’s more of a downfall than anything else. What does make it special is boost up to EV-DO Rev A. speeds, WiFi, GPS, a 320×320 display, 256MB flash, 128MB RAM, a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and an expansion slot. Sounds pretty good, but Q4 is a long ways away.

you have got to be nuts if you think the palm OS is better than WM6. Using the palm OS is like making a call with the big horn from the Flintstones. there is not one single area that the palm OS beats WM6. trust me i have both the 750 & 755p, & i get frustrated everytime I have to use the 755. If palm doesn’t come with a WM6 device they are about to lose me as a loyal user.
Actually the 800w will be coming with a 2MP camera, not a 1.3MP. And it will have Windows Mobile 6.1 which has threaded messaging and is more user friendly than the previous versions… I agree with Linx, WM is A LOT better than the Palm OS, which Palm needs to desperately update…
Oh 1 more thing… it’s will be released July 2008
