Other World Computing announced today that it will be releasing a 4GB memory package for all MacBook Pros shipped after June 5th. The upgrade will consist of two 2GB modules and cost about one third of the price of a factory upgrade, $230. Those of you with MacBook Pros, please feel free to look into this and email us your experience. Or, PayPal me the funds so I can have a look myself.
OWC also announced that it will carry a 3GB upgrade for older MacBook Pros, and MacBooks.

Apple replaced my previous 17″ (since they couldn’t fix it), with a core 2 duo 2.4 ghz. I immediately purchased the two 2 gig modules from OWC and have had no problems. Sorry if this is old, just found your page requesting replies on 02/25/08.
