i am gonna do the math here: GTA IV is a game that will sell in the tune of 15 million copies. let´s assume that ps3 gets 5 and x360 gets 10 just for the sake of it.

10m x $60 = 600 million retail sales that would get MS a cut of let´s say 20dlls (again, just a aprox) = 120 million, without counting the cost of the DLC for the marktplace, that i am guessing will be a minimum of $5-$10 max)a pop in what seems to be 3 rounds of DLC.

Then how about 1 million downloads of each round? =15-30 million, plus whatever the think beyond it= a minimum of 150 million -50 = still 100 million dll just from the direct sales of the game.

even if the result where lower that this, i can safel y bet that MS is gonna make 50 million of profit directly from the game.

The real value is what it is gonna do for the cred and the indirect sales caused by the game. like new x360 consumers, something that could be around 1 million.

wow that is a lot of money, too much, they shouldve went after an exclusive release instead.

I hope Microsoft know what they are doing? If they have exclusive content but rockstar is still free to make other downloadable content, its a waste of money. but if its set up so that the only downloadable content is on xbox live and noone else, then it may work out
