I would love to know the same information. I refill my own cartridges and haven't found a way to reset the Kodak 5300 yet.

How do I get these printers (particularly the Kodak EasyShare 5300) to keep using the same ink cartridges until they are really empty? My experience has been that the printer somehow "marks" the cartridge and the printer won't continue to use the "empty" cartridge. I see a couple electrical contacts on the back of the Kodak cartridges -- does it burn some internal "fuse" to mark the cartridge "empty"? Is there some way to reset or restore it so I can continue to use the cartridge until it is actually empty?

Thanks!
