The IPOD has an AWESOME interface and a GREAT Browser (although I could not find a HOME or a STOP key, and the period or the comma do not appear on the MAIN Keyboard scrreen)

They do NOT interface with Microsoft Exchange, and there is no Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Terminal Services or Citrix like comes on my Pocket PC (View only for SOME of Microsoft Office apps and it sucked big time), no Cut and Paste, and the ONLY way you can do Email is through pop or IMAP (no push Email) . So no Calendar or Tasks or Public Folder synching wirelessly like you can do wih any Pocket PC. I am not sure what the big deal is with MP3 - my Pocket PC has an 8 Gig Card in it that I bought and I can play MP3 files using Microsoft player WITHOUT the restrictions of ITUNES. Also IPHONE has no Flash and No java support , can not import Ringtunes , NO 3rd applications on the Phone are supported or can be loaded (thousands available for the pocket PC), AT&T's doggy Edge Network (currently not just the slowest
Network in the US - but in the UNIVERSE I think) , No Memory Card so you can swap cards and did I mention it does not synch wirelessly with Outlook (that alone is a KILLER)... cute toy, slower than molasses for browsing (although an incredibly great interface), no blue tooth support for file transfer or Modem support (like my Pocket PC has), but truly... USELESS for business. I gave mine to my kid... The iPhone is an expensive closed system that does what it does extraordinarily well but that is all you get.

I guess I am just wondering how old everyone commenting on this is? Many posts are about work phones so I feel like everyone must be adults. Take a second and read over this chain of posts. Really take a look at richard beninya. Man, that guy makes himself sound super smart.. This makes me so depressed I am a human.

It is funny people take a side between the PC vs MAC battle. Why is it people are so against one or the other? I own a company that is based in Technical Skiing outerwear. We all use Macs except for our accountant. Sure we poke fun at eachother but at the end of the day we have better things to do with our time then to actualy get worked up about what computer people use. Macs are great for design and yes, as toys. PC systems have been lacking in the world of desktop publishing and design for many reasons. They do work but it is just not as fun to use a PC over a mac and what is wrong with a little excitment at work? Our accountant swears by a PC for work in Microsoft Office programs and Quickbooks. I do not even know much about what he does but I know his computer works great. Anyway, really people please read over what you guys are writing.. it makes me laugh for sure.

I have had my Iphone for a few weeks, took 5 minuets to set up on my exsisting account and my mail works fine. Oh, and hopfully mac will fix the fact that it is also fun, we don't want that now do we.

Finally, for the person (I am sure it was richard again) that thinks mac makes crap you have to hand it to them. The crap they make is so well designed and functions so good that people love it. Sounds crazy I know. You do not see people getting all google eyed over the newest Dell machine coming out.

You guys spend way too much time going back and forth. “No life” comes to mind. Anyway, don’t actually mean to insult y’all.
Thanks for spending your time on this. There was some entertaining (useful??not sure) information traded back and forth.

Y’all is the MORON commenting on something that has been played out already, Mr. “NO LIFE!” Dick Beninya also concurs with me. LOOOSSEEERR!

He is a bender, oh yes he is> No life bender!

Obviously, some of the Apple people are in need of grammar lessons; along with increasing their meds.
Also, the problem at Duke Univ. is now being blamed on Cisco, not the iphone...updates as they become available.
