These cards probably won't game all that well - but with Vista you need a decent graphics card to just play solitare and do day to day taskes. I got the best card offered on my Dell E521 and have a Vista score of 4.1 (the lowest score overall on my system) for my trouble. Maybe one of these cards can raise that and not kill my meager budget. PC Gamers are not the people these are aimed at (not real ones anyway) - they are more to beef up Vista and make an upgrade easier to wallets.

They may support DirectX 10, but I wonder how well they'll support the hefty technical requirements needed by the new generation of DX10 games. My guess is games like Supreme Commander, Crysis, and Unreal Tournament 3 will bring these lower-end cards to their needs.

Here's a list of confirmed DX10 games for 2007: http://www.novatek.com.au/news/confirmed-dx-10-games.html. I don't think a $100 card will play many of those games even at the lowest graphical settings. You might as well save up for an 8800 GTO, which will likely drop in price by the time most of these games are released! :)
