
The HD DVD camp is getting a boost from the figures that Microsoft released on its ‘biggest-selling’ add-on in the U.S. 155,000 units of the HD DVD drive have been sold since launch and while this doesn’t significantly make a dent in the numbers Blu-ray has put up, it does help their cause in a few different ways. A significant number of Blu-ray playing machines that have been sold aren’t even being used for movies, but rather, for playing PS3 games. On the other hand, every add-on sold by Microsoft and stand-alone player sold is exclusively meant to play HD DVD content and not video games. And the battle continues…

i bought one of these for my xbox 360 premium, only for a couple of months later for microsoft to announce that it was scrapping it’s HD dvd’s, IMO microsoft should reinburse all of us who bought these drives as they are not releasing anymore HD dvd’s so it’s money down the drain for all of us who bought them!
