With this new peripheral from Hoki you can finally play your classic Virtual Console games in all of their retro glory. As usual the U.S. is going to be last on the list for this one, but it can be imported from Japan for around $53. A State-side release has been confirmed however it is unknown as to when that will happen.
Hori fighting stick Wii [IGN]

Doesn’t this sort of defeat the purpose of buying a Wii in the first place? If Wii starts coming out with non-3d-motion stuff then they are competing head to head against Sony and M$ which they will surely loose as gameplay will be based on GRAPHICS instead of ACTIVITY.

I would understand your confusion on why have this on a Wii. You must remember that the Wii is drawing in a high range of crowd when it comes to age variation. I am 24 and have a Wii, Ive played quite a few number of the games that are on the VC for the Wii. Now some people love Fighting Games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. There are those that love to play these exact type of games how they played them on the Arcade games, with a joystick. I doubt that Nintendo will stray far from there currently winning formula but, when it comes do retro gaming this becomes and option.
