Fady-

That is, in fact, what I was implying, but thanks for the clarification!

Peter-
About the 60 minute time shifting capability. CTS technicians confirmed that if you switch from one channel to another, you will lose that recorded stream completely (kind of like Windows Media Center). However, what you're saying about O&A and listening to a game, that may be possible if you are switching between FM and XM (or vice versa) but not if you are switching between 2 channels on XM or 2 channels on FM only.

Ice-
You will also be able to transfer music from a hard drive based mp3 player. This has been confirmed elsewhere by a CTS tech (I think on the car's official blog, but don't quote me). However, I think he noted if it's an iPod, you won't be able to transfer the music directly from there to the hard drive, not 100% sure though.

You can plug in your iPod, granted you have one, and run things off of that.

" ... ability to rip tracks from any CD and store them onto the 40GB HDD. "

So you have to re-rip your music in your car? No means of USB transfer for those who already have all their music ripped, tagged & catalogued?
