Not to be considered too snobby, but choosing from that small pool DVDisasters is akin to choosing which STD you would be least upset to be diagnosed with at the local free clinic. The old adage that nothing in life is free is true. The cost of a friend, family member, or traveling salesman accidentally discovering Stealth in my DVD collection is more than I could bear.

I'd pass on this offer. Five free movies from such a limited selection.

None of those movies are ones I need to watch in HD to appreciate (Invincible is listed twice). HD does nothing to make a movie more funny, or witty, or charming, and does nothing to improve acting or cinematography.

Pass. DVDs are fine when paired with an upscaling player, and a HELL of a lot cheaper. Now if Bluray had LOTR or Star Wars, then perhaps I'd consider switching. Until then, these formats are nothing but Laserdisc.

Actually, if you pick up a Panasonic DMP-BD10A, which has it's own existing offer of 5 free Blu-ray disks, you can actually end up with 10 free Blu-ray disks! woohoo!
