Helio UP Getting UPped at Midnight

Helio users are lucky people. Besides not being nickel and dimed to death with extra charges that don’t actually cost the carriers anything, they get badass handsets like the Ocean that do pretty much everything, and rate plans that don’t leave them with self doubt in the morning. And things are about to get better.
To be announced Monday, Helio is upgrading its Helio UP service. Currently it’s an online storage locker for photos and video taken with Helio devices. But come midnight tonight, it’s a lot more. Users can upload photos from their phones handsets directly to their Flickr accounts. Likewise, video can be sent straight to YouTube. Coupled with the built-in MySpace support, that is so socially-networkably radical it makes my head hurt like the first time I saw Megafox. Er, Megan. Fox.
It’s unofficial until Monday, so we don’t wanna hear about it if it doesn’t work for you on the first try. But the message is this: Helio is making its already strong offerings stronger, and in all the right ways. If the iPhone’s not your bag, look at the Ocean and at Helio. They’ve got the best hardware/network synergy we’ve seen yet, and they’re making it better all the time.

Yes I agree FIX THE DAM BUGS!!! argg!!! The Ocean is really pissing me off and of course helio will not tell us when they will give us an update, or whether their even working on one.
TechCrunch use your press credentials and find out when the heck they are going to give use an OS update/bug fixes!!!!!!!!!!
Even one else do NOT BUY AN OCEAN until they fix the bugs!!!!

Come onnn.
I WAY MORE prefer a software update to make key features like AIM or Web Browsing more useful and less buggy!

Should be useful upgrade. I was getting tired of emailing pics to Flickr. Hopefully it will geo-tagged along the way.
Yes there are bugs. And they really dropped the ball on charging extra for free youTube content.

Until they work that out I would not say that they aren’t nickel and dimming like all the others

This is a good update.
Of course, it bears mentioning that Helio does nickle and dime us with that horrible broken promise called Viral Video.
However, this is something that actually makes Helio Up worthwhile. Thank you, Helio.

I have a drift model and have gone through every fix under the sun with helio to make pc link pro and media mover work. No luck. And they aren’t promising it will work–ever. Oh and about the vista upgrade they are working on…why won’t they give us an estimated date, and will the device still not work with this third party s**t software??? If things dont fix, Helio could end up being left in the dust.
