The Wii continues its game console domination in Japan with reports showing that the Wii outsold the PS3 6 to 1 in June. The tiny white console entered into 270,974 homes while the huge black BBQ only made it to 41,628 homes. The Xbox 360 was barely even looked at with only 17,616 units sold. It’s been a steady climb to the top for Nintendo as sales have increased every month over Sony since April when the lead was only 4 to 1.
Ah… so goes the reversal of fortunes for Nintendo… am anxious how long this lasts as it cannot compete head to head graphics wise with either system. My guess is that it’s a two man race, PS3 vs Wii, each with their own demographic niche… hence people will end up owning both.

things are gonna change this summer for sony because the wii will be exposed as nothing more than a lil kid system ps2 graphics and pokemon dont go together anymore grow up world!
wow you guy are dumb ps3 is in the crapper wii is outselling it 6 to 1 in june th grafics are alot better than you think with double power of the game cube it alot cheaper and more fun than the other two which i have both of ps3 for sale btw
the wii is awesome, the ps3 sucks, why buy a ps3 when you can get a x box 360 for 200$ less with all the same games and better online play. the wii is more active, that is what a game system should be, rly, i get bored sitting on a couch pressing buttons on a controller alone because i dont know how to get online.
Wii is not for kids only, if you think it is only for kids then go play it for about 30 min i bet you would like it alot more than the crapy ps3.
X-box 360 was ignored, idk why, but the x-box 360 beats the ps3 in my book being cheaper wtih superior online play and a cheaper price tag, plus it has all the games the ps3 has!
ps3 is frowned apon for being too expensive, too big, lack of game variety, and unsuperior online play that even the wii is better in comparison.
im planning to buy a ps3 just because of the bluray and the hdmi for my 42 lcd. But i love the idea of wii that u dont just sit to play game and move ur fingers, u actually almost exercisng plus wii dont make the kids become couch potato.
C’mon people, think of it this way, PS3 delivers Hi-resolution graphics and fantastic features, i.e online gaming and instant connection online once u switch it on, and its the least you can be blessed with considering the cost of the console.
Although, and this is my real point.. Aren’t we forgetting the main purpose of video games?
Entertainment.
Nintendo have beaten all companies hands down with the fantastic range of gaming icons, and addictive games for I don’t know how long, but I know its been longer than the history of gaming consoles. Nintendo hold true to the ideal of fun, and they’re also kicking as with the evolution of INTERACTIVE gaming.
They hold the future in there hands, anything else.. is just copying what they have already achieved.

i just bought a wii my roomie has a xbox 360 , i love the games for xobx but i am a nintendo man have been since the first console. ok hard war wise the
wii might lack a bit , however that un proven yet its frighteng what square has been able to do with game systems if they put their haer in to it on good ff title and you will seee what the wii capable of any dev can milk a system but none shows so well over the compititon than nitendo .
