the image with the features on it has a different looking zante on it, it doesn’t have that circular d-pad on it and its rough around the edges, not very professional so I’m gonna say its fake. The enter button is also different on the description image. And since when do sidekicks support MMS and Push Mail? And where are the game controllers? The first to images may be real renders, but that description image is obliviously fake and not made by Motorola/danger/t-mobile, but an amateur photoshopper. wheres my prize? =p

also the paint job on the second is chiped toward the bottom right hand of the screen? lol

The qwerty keys are in a rectangular pattern in the photos. The 1,q,a in a straight line. They have moved a bit in the flyer/ad.
Nice looking gadget though.

The keyboard layouts definately differ,being squared off in the photos,indented on the Ad. The
numbers/letters on the keys in the Ad model are all wanked off to the left,some missing completely.

The flyer/ad looks rushed, or definately not mega-corp slick listing many of the same features twice,and showing different codec support..
Also, there is that white crackly line around the phone on the Ad Looks like bad photoshop.

It is a good looking gadget though.
Would be nice to see these new features. Given the iPhone blitz, this could be a quick pre-emptive shot from Moto to keep some folks on the fence?

More keyboard differences, the bottom left key, shift key(?)is larger in the photo than the ad. The backspace key, right end,second row up is large on the ad, small in the photo.
Also, the red and green buttons, at the left end on either side of the center button are different designs.
With the missing large button that Kevin mentions, the Ad and photo units/mock-ups are definately different.

looks like a really good phone but the price should be advertised

The color scheme is absolutely incredible. It’s nice to see a phone design that branches away from strictly black and/or silver body.

I’d like to see how the phone would open. The way that the Sidekick 3 opens is so rough and it’s really flimsy feeling. Everyone I know with the 3 has broken it more than once. The short battery life should be dealt with. I don’t understand how the 2 had a great battery life, and the 3s is horrible.

The problem now with sidekicks is that there everywhere. People love them so much because they’re cool and affordable. They’re getting played out really fast and the next models they come out with will be too.

That specs list is complete bogus. There are way too many inconsistencies and it looks like someone created it with the basic Windows Paint program anyways.

i cant say much about the features, etc, but i know that the one pictured on the specs list is an existing sidekick that’s been photoshoped. And very poorly.

I think this phone is really ugly!It looks cheap.I dont like the colors its just not a phone I would buy!

Put it this way, if it has video on it I’m gettin it cause that’s what the sidekick lacks. And it needs to improve the internet speed horrible browser. Colors are cool,needs a better camera

Definitely fake.. the sidekick menu screen is the same as the sidekick 3.

the phone is real jus now made by microsoft, so the specs may be accurate. It slides open and is really sleak! And i wil be getting this or the Sidekick LX aka sidekick 4.

I got my Slide yesterday, and I’m on it now. I LOVE it. This is my first Sidekick, and it’s not a disappointment. I think I like this slide screen better than the swivel one. This phone is awesome. =]

You know apparently the idiot that started this post doesn’t realize that R&D teams work with many ideas and a bunch of designers and companies leak photos here and there to see how the public will respond and use them to get ideas from the public to develope the items before they go into production.

I got one of the first Sidekick Slides by Moto… I have had nothing but sidekicks or “hiptops” since the first one came out and have upgraded to each new model on the release date each time… they have all been great and have gotten better each time.

I love my Slide… its not a “sidekick 4″ its a sidekick slide… what an idiot

i have this phOne!
and it really DOES suck! it always freezes and fOrces me tO have tO take the battery Out, and then all my stOred infOrmatiOn resets.
im never gOing to use this phOne again!!!
im switching tO the blackberry pearl as we speak
