Palm’s Multi-touch Interface: Place Hand On Keyboard, Press
PalmInfoCenter (new motto: “Hey, Guys, Over Here, Treos. Who Wants a Treo? Guys?”) ran a detailed review comparing the Treo to the iPhone. As we all expected, the Treo came out ahead in almost all categories except “Ability to get you laid.”
Essentially, the reviewer pointed out that the Treo is a fairly open platform, has a keyboard, and is cheap. Fair enough. However, does the Treo have the power of a million fanboys? Can it call dead relatives? Is it slightly fragile? Didn’t think so, smarties.
I actually agree with PIC. The Treo is a superior smartphone. Can Apple do better? Sure they can. Will they in some sort of sane upgrade path? Potentially. Is the iPhone still hotter than the sun? Yawp. Sorry, Treo.

PalmDaycareCenter has had it’s share of cred issues, which is a crying shame because at one time it was one of the best Palm sites out there.
I know they’ve been working hard to get things cleaned up from the wild west days, but they’re also dealing with a decline in PalmOS enthusiasts as well.
You would have to be blind to not see the iPhone’s impact, and I’m not a fan of the thing.
It makes the Treo look like exactly what it is- technology that is old and being helped along by patches and gimmicks and the hope that people won’t wise up before it’s golden parachute time for the CEO.

There are a few things wrong with the Treo and the Centro.
1.) Interface is dated. Looks like icons and design are based upon Windows 3.1.
2.) Bluetooth capabilities isn’t fully realized using Palm based Treos. Does not support A2DP tech. Treos and Centros should support bluetooth interfacing with things like Ford Edge cars, stereo headphones, etc.
3.) SD and MicroSD cards is limited to 4gb.
4.) Needs to have built in WiFi support.
5.) Better GPS apps.
