MediaDefender: “It’s Not What You Think”

Randy Saaf, CEO of MediaDefender, a company I excoriated yesterday, dropped us a line explaining that MiiVi was not a trap and instead an internal MediaDefender project, hence the failure to hide their tracks. He explains:

MiiVi has nothing to do with the MPAA, the RIAA, or any music or movie studio. It was not even meant to be used by the general public at this time. MiiVi has nothing to do with lawsuits. The original story is a complete fabrication.

We’re going to try to get a quick interview with him later this afternoon.
