Dude Plays World of Warcraft On iPhone

It may say it’s in the 90s outside, but trust me when I say it’s cold. See, Hell froze over (and not in a Don Henley and The Eagles way) because some guy got World of Warcraft running on his iPhone. This mysterious video on YouTube shows a guy logging in with his character via the iPhone and messing around in Ironforge, all via his thumb and the phone of the millennium.

But don’t go pitching your tent just yet. A close inspection of the video reveals the guy is running WoW on his laptop and using a program called Telekinesis to stream his desktop to the iPhone. Hey, at least someone is playing games on the iPhone.

Uhh yea, real close, like the first 2 seconds of the video, pretty much spells it out in black and white. Thanks Sherlock.

One site I DID find that worked very well (not faked up like this one apparently was) on the iPhone is Comcast’s mobile site:

http://mobilebeta.comcast.net

It is only a beta, apparently, and it looks like it was designed for a mobile phone without a full safari browser (I used to use it on my Razr a lot), but it looks outstanding on the iPhone. News, weather, etc. Simple UI.

Enjoy!

The Iphone has also been hacked now. Someone found the right way to turn it into a GSM device which uses a SIM card, so that any carrier can provide service. Surprisingly, the unlocked Iphones are going for about the same price as regular ones that are only for ATT.

Now if only itunes would charge reasonable rates.
