Like this, except not crappy
It wouldn’t really feel like a Monday without an Apple rumor, would it? The latest one to hit the wire involves OS X and the iPod. Seems an analyst over at research firm Piper Jaffray thinks that because the iPhone has OS X, the iPod is going to be following suit.
Normally I’d dismiss these claims but it seems to make sense. The iPod is due for an update soon and the success of the iPhone seems like a great place to start when it comes down to the R&D. An iPod with OS X and WiFi would be a lot more kick ass then an iPhone. Imagine all the applications you could run and the reliability of Mac OS X. Only Steve Jobs’ next big announcement will confirm or destroy this rumor.

This one isn’t really a rumor. Ars Technica reported a little while back that in Steve’s latest talk with Apple employees, he mentioned a group in Apple that was working on OS X for upcoming iPods.

The only think we don’t know for sure is the date that these new iPods will appear. Way to go with that super amazing “prediction”, Piper Jaffray. ;)

How do I get a job pulling fabrications out of my ass? Must be great!
Product x has y ergo product z will have y!
Company S cuts the price of their product ergo company M will cut the price of their product!
Must be great to make crap up for a living.
