Sony isn’t one to pass up on the latest tech fads, so they’ve released the, NSC-GC1, Net-sharing CAM that caters to social networking whores and video bloggers. The CAM shoots video in MPEG-4 and also takes snapshots at QVGA/15fps to VGA/30fps, while taking 5-megapixel still shots. The ‘sharemark’ tag instinctively uploads your videos and pics online. Holy crap! It’s ultra sleek and stylish weighing in at a mere five ounces and its only 1 3/16-inch wide by 4 1/8-inch tall and 2 ¼-inches deep. The CAM can record around five hours of unloadable content on a Memory Stick PRO duo card if you’re recording with default settings on a 2GB card. Look for it in September for around $200.

  • Very cool but the ho-hum moment is this – it won’t be Mac friendly and that’s a deal breaker for me. If it is, then well, sweet … bring it on. I can always use it to shoot some b-roll takes of the weddings I document with a still camera.
